PAL - SPRING SOCCER

-
PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Harrisburg Police Athletic League (PAL), in collaboration with the JT Dorsey
Foundation (JTDF), designed the Rec Soccer Program to help children develop
positive health and wellness habits, while cultivating positive relationships with law
enforcement officials.

CURRICULUM & PHILOSOPHY

The soccer curriculum is based on fun skill development games. The program
emphasizes fun, fitness and friendship in a positive environment. Because winning
will not be a focus of the program, game scores and team rankings will not be kept.

PROGRAM STAFF

The staff will consist of certified soccer coaches and local police officers from Dauphin County.
Program coaches are committed to teaching participants the game and providing a safe
and fun atmosphere where character, respect, and effort are emphasized over winning.

SESSION INFORMATION

The program runs Wednesdays and Fridays from April 2 through June 8, first practice is on April 4th at the fields at 7th & Radnor streets in Harrisburg. Practices will be held on Wednesdays between
5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., for 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the child’s age. Games will be held
